To K. Thrace's last comment - I think that's totally fair, especially because we know from literally years of history that Obama is capable of killing it in public speaking and debates when he is on. It was confounding.

I hate that I made this mistake, but not that it spawned a hilarious pun at my expense. Thank you.

Yes the choice is narrow if you are thinking only in terms of each candidate's attitude towards big business. Their stance on social issues like abortion and gay rights are diametrically opposed, as is their suggestions for health care reform (Obamacare may have taken its cue from the Romneycare initiative in

Obama's performance in the debates was definitely off and, thus far, inexplicably so, but I don't believe it's going to affect the polls as much as pundits say.

Since you don't deserve any confusion over your very appropriate comment, I admit to one and all that I made the hugely embarrassing typo of naming Bobby Kennedy, as opposed to Ted Kennedy, as Romney's competitor in a 1994 bid for the Massachusetts Senate.

Agreed, I think it is a big failing, one of a few reasons that this show is being held back from dramatic greatness a la Mad Men. Maguire, Freeman and Morehouse get to have very distinct lives apart from Corky, so it is particularly noticeable that Annie, Eva, and Elizabeth mostly just revolve around him.

I've corrected this also. Thanks.

To my deep shame, I forgot to put quotations on the word "father", thus sparking this unintentional yet much deserved controversy. It has since been corrected.

No worries phodreaw, consider my amalgamated super comment to be exactly the kind of provocation of discussion you mentioned!

I like the use of the word 'grizzle' as a quality one can have. The invention of such a word proves you to be full of grizzle.
