I don’t know why the Ford Flex gets no love.  You can get a tune from Ford to hit 400HP. It rides on a Fusion chassis so handling is good.  For SoCal it has that “Woodie” vibe going for it.  And for the price, you could park a Miata next to it and be under budget.

What annoys me (source lived in Europe and China for 10 years, travelled extensively) this is an airline policy, not a rule enforced by most countries. Airline has to pay to send you back if there is a problem. They don’t want to risk it or actually check if rules change. A supervisor can let you fly if you argue. But…

You can just keep your old passport with the valid visa. Of course that means keeping track of 2 passports.
