@farcedude: And, in general - holy shit. And why are people staying in the dining room/lounge area? GTFO into someplace without shit flying all over the place.

I bet they're just glad that hatch (in the second video), or others like it didn't break.

@Slash3: Sad thing for us is, we're like a half mile outside the 'range' of the DSL service in our area, and the nearest cable line ends about the same distance away. Narr. So it's dial-up, or satellite.

@Sapan Gorath: I can verify this experience - I used to live in Alaska, and got blazing fast internet 10 years ago on whatever fiber line they'd laid up the west coast to us up there. Now, I live 30 minutes outside Denver, and am on satellite internet, and the latency is typically in to 2-3 second range, minimum.

@Pineapple Chunks: I'd stick it in some rice in a sealed container overnight (sucks out all the moisture), and it should be okay in the morning.

@TehBeardMan: Drink a lot of water the night of. As in, leave a full water bottle on your pillow, or get water everywhere, but just be sure to drink a lot of water.

@kettlewhistle: I like Subaru Outback's personally, and Subarus are known for reliability. I get about 27 with my '98, and you should be able to do better with a newer model.

@sn1per: Swimming is good.

@michael: I do know her (and the guy in the middle), and yeah, stfu.

@chumleyex: Heh, no, I actually go to school with them.

Heh, I know two of the three people in that picture. Awesome.

@theotherwhitegirl: Wow. Very informative (and well though out) article. I've toured some power plants, and had been wondering the same thing (especially after watching Zombieland). Like they said, I don't expect the grid to last much longer than about a day, at best.

If you're looking to get gas out of something, go to a boat store and get a fuel line for an outboard motor - it'll have a little inline pump on it that you squeeze with your hand. Cut the fancy connectors off each end, and you should be able to just give a couple pumps and be on your way.

@warsaw_andy: I have a leatherman that I carry, so it's not just the knife (the pliers come in real handy at work sometimes), but the knife is really handy for opening boxes, and blister packaging.

An actual tire iron - lots of tire shops are a little overeager when putting the tires back on your car, and the piddlin little tire iron that came with your car won't get your flat tire off.

Always did like that cover (Star Wars: Wedge's Gamble).

@vrillusions: Congrats! Got my first manual about a year ago, and yeah, much better driving experience. As far as lights, you learn to watch the cross lights and the walk signals to know when to shift. And to look a couple of cars ahead when you're not first in line.

@saxton1993: I have one, and they're great for light, on the go computing. Here's the question, though - when would you use it? Would your teachers let you use it in class?

@djsmiley2k: Try acupuncture. Western medicine is very concentrated on fixing your problems here and now (which is good in it's place), but isn't great at long term well-being. Eastern medicine is better at helping with long term balance. Be aware though, that this will not be a short or inexpensive thing - you'll be
