@skrymir01: Huh, I guess I hadn't read it correctly, and I thought the same thing that Mickets did. Tucking the undershirt in your underwear actually makes sense though.

@BeerMonk: That's why you have multiple belts, and rotate through them, and hang up the ones you're not using.
@remicus: WHOA. I always was either in a car with a little arrow, or a car with the latched gas cap, so I just pulled the release and checked my mirror.
@smithtj1: Not sure what direction you mean, but the proper way for a guy to wear a belt is to thread it counterclockwise around your body, so the belt ends up going through the buckle from right to left. Girls, since they apparently used to have to be dressed way way way back when are the reverse.
@Robert Persson: I was taught this for cross country running, and am amazed at how many people don't use their arms to help them up hills. I will say though, I too looked like an idiot before I learned it.
@capitalH: I dunno, I play trombone, and you pull down your diaphragm (and push out your gut) to breathe in to get the maximum air volume. Then, I started doing some Kung Fu, and for some of the meditation stuff they had us doing the suck in the gut while inhaling thing, and it was the weirdest thing ever.
@mrsayao: Thanks to lh I too found that out!
@Mickets: It's not a backpack per se, but I use a chrome messenger bag day to day, and I've found it's just about indestructible, and can carry anything I want it to. They're a little more expensive, but worth it for the good construction. Also, it has just the right amount of pockets for me (just a few big ones, and…
@gmrple: Aughh! Too much! Make it Stop!
@CarrieC: Shiny!
@D0rk: I'd wait. It sounds like you're in an okay position now, so I wouldn't jump into anything you know you won't like. Keep your eyes open, and maybe try to get to know some people over in HR so you can get a better idea of what goes on over there.
@GrabbinPeelz: sleep mode does use power, just much less. It keeps power to the memory, but stops everything else so you can move the computer.
@tkris: Where from?
I think, "Wow, I'd never be able to change out that bulb!"
@Cam Jamieson: I guess it then depends on the nature of the problem. I have an old hp dv4000 laptop that the motherboard went bad on, and after trying a couple fixes and going over it with hp tech support (useless), it's waiting for the next trip to best buy to get recycled. For software stuff, I give it the good old…
@horizonguy: Go on newegg.com and be patient. Look for deals, and just study what's available, and what needs to match what - for example, what socket is the processor - this will help you narrow down what motherboard you can get.
@Phoshi: Pretty neat - I've been getting paid to play with fire! I'm learning how to braze aluminum so we can use it to put some parts together, and it's fun.
@comodidit: I think the hardest part would be finding the flexible transparent display. I think that instead of that, I'd try reflecting something off a glasses lense or something like that.
Running/getting in shape question.
@AlexJAnder: It really depends on the context, but a witty sort of comment about something that they're wearing works well for me. I was waiting for a bus at a hospital, and an older guy with the hospital sun glasses was hanging around, and I made a comment about his stylish shades. He'd just gotten his eyes dilated…
