I'll direct you to an earlier Lifehacker post about how (not)clean that coffeemaker in your hotel room may or may not be...

Um. If the government agency doesn't know wtf they need to be doing, and are asking people "hey, what should we do?"... kind of begs the question of why they exist in the first place...

Just don't take it to school. They'd probably charge you with arms dealing.

1) Some dates are blocked off at some hotels, depending on what's going on in the area or what groups they have coming in. So it won't work for every date.

I used to be able to enter name, city, state and get address information with a related google map. Now I get links from some MyLife company, period. No easy address and phone info.

As someone who battled a severe Vitamin D deficiency for the better part of the last year, and only after three months of intensive vitamin therapy and lots of sunshine do I feel human again: read and take heed.

Here's a better option: Hotels have "Rack Rate" which is their top tier preferred rate to get for a room. Most regular discounts: AAA, Commercial, Truckers, etc. are standard and just about the same, 5-10 percent. @Fixta Fernback: Scrambled eggs use milk, omelets use water. The water actually makes an omelet fluffy, since the internal steam makes it "rise" a little.

@Stephen Goldmeier: I know! I almost feel stupid saying that, but I get giddy showing other people how to do it. What the hell is the matter with me? XD

At age 47, I learned that the proper way to open a banana is from the bottom. Not only did I learn that from Lifehacker, but FROM A CHIMPANZEE.

I looked over a basics list by a fellow at the New York Times, and watched his video (can't remember the name, I was just Googling for kitchen basics). I was thrilled to see that he recommended a few good pans from a restaurant supply store but... no lids. He uses plates.

Does anyone else realize we are actually having an election on November 4th for more than just the President?

I can't get out of debt by continuing to debt. Stop charging and borrowing, pay bills on time to keep from incurring a late fee, pay off credit cards and other debt... I've been amazed at just how much money I have when I'm not overspending what I bring in.

@Liffey: I know! Dude!

My state has no voter registration. Go me.

White vinegar added to a load of whites makes them brighter. Also great for getting those blue stains out that appear from nowhere (after stain-treating, can take a couple of washes *without drying*).
