Yeah, he rendered her unable to keep attacking him.

This is why as a black woman, i sometimes look at white women and say I have nothing in common with these people aside from a vagina.

i think if i were kidnapped as a child by some gross dude and forced to look at porn with him that would be as much of a problem as the “we’re going to do that” part because she would have to think about that while looking at it with him, that the things they’re seeing she’s going to be forced to do with him. that

I find calling any raped children “brides” instead of rape victims to be stupid and horrific regardless of their parents complicity in the rape.

Good lord. That sounds horrible.

I am currently a young, female adjunct at a large (and well ranked) state university and I have several responses. I think we need to start a discussion between elementary, high school and universities because so many of the problems I see, stem from systemic logic that creates apathy from an early age.

“A Beautiful black woman”... see: every black woman you’ve ever seen/known to refute Joy’s claim.

Your comment made me laugh because of your privileged, first world, western view. The ignorance and self-centredness is just unbelievable. Pick up a book and read about a society other than the one you live in before you impose your values on people who live on the other side of the world.

My husband’s father was 40 when my husband was born. He’s very healthy and has never given us any problem. My mom was 21 when I was born. She had cancer when I was in my twenties and looking for a job. It was hard on me financially and psycologically. Having kids at a young age doesn’t shield your kids from dealing

You come off as an ignorant jerk. Not everyone is born into the same type of family. Culture plays a major role, and you know nothing of the family unit as it exists in their culture. That kid will have at least 20 people to care after him if something happens to his parents.

There are no guarantees that any child’s parents will be alive tomorrow. The Universe will have its way with us all. However, I was 39 and my husband was 47 when our baby was born, and we felt like we were taking a risk. A considered risk, since my husband’s family are long-lived people and I figure if I can see her

It seems that this woman and her doctor did the due diligence to ensure a healthy pregnancy was possible. As someone who has experienced infertility for the past 3 year (currently pregnant after fertility treatment- wish me luck!), this is a deeply personal issue and everyone deserves the chance to decide for

He’s just offering a needed service!

It’s not a lack of reading comprehension skills. It’s willful ignorance and denial.

The reading comprehension of some of these white apologists is unsurprisingly low.

Oh Vicky, you are truly a simple minded commenter. You obviously don’t understand contemporary Blackness and parading around and commenting that you are biracial is not doing anything but making you look more like a fool. You haven’t even attempted to address my major points about whiteness because you clearly can’t

Lol, you are ridiculous. Newsflash: Everyone you meet does not have to give you an accounting of their fucking DNA, no matter how they look. Someone identifying as Black is not saying they are not biracial. That you can’t understand that is baffling for a supposedly biracial person.

I don’t know if I believe you are actually a half-Black person. If you are, you are very uneducated about Blackness in America. If you are, it isn’t your business how other people who choose to embrace their Blackness live and define themselves.

Most mixed Black people can’t pass for white - look at our president. Does he look like a white man to you? He is not “passing” for Black, he simply is Black. No matter what he calls himself - Black or biracial- he is not white. And I bet you see Black people all the time who don’t look like the exotic fantasy of what
