Utopia is SUCH an amazing, mind-fuck of a show. Last I heard HBO was trying to develop it for US audiences, but was having issues. I’m glad to hear it found a new home elsewhere, but I’m not going to hold my breath. I like Flynn but this show is so batshit bonkers that I’m not sure that the point of adapting it is. I

Quick question. Am I the only one in the world who does not find Tom Hardy attractive?? It can’t just be it. It just can’t.

Yes. I sit amongst women 10-20 years older than me (at least). All white, all upper middle class and all scoffed at me when I said it was a disgrace none of the men who won at the Globes addressed their colleagues, who were engaged in a protest in that very room. “Why should they?”

I just don’t get why all these helpful commenters looking for validation in their wokeness (on both sites, to be clear) AREN’T gray.

This is how I feel about all the helpful white commenters on The Root.

I know this sounds ridiculous, but this is not surprising. Not too long ago I happened to notice an aircraft on FlightRadar doing a systematic cruise over the city:

I don’t care if the article’s only been up for a dozen minutes, this needs more stars.

How ‘bout a bill that requires classes teaching police how to interact with kids?

This is very true, a lot of responses to ‘Omg, really?! Lol!’ seems to be ‘CHILL THE FUCK OUT YOU SJW SNOWFLAKE!’

Counterpoint: The reason Trump and his supporters continue to shit all over us is because that is what they do.

Wow- what’s with these older white guys? Do they reach a certain age and their brain breaks? Is this the dude equivalent of menopause?

COUNTERPOINT: IPAs are meant to be passed over for something drinkable that doesn’t leave your mouth tasting like a goddamned medicine cabinet afterward.

If he’s giving the Russians quid pro quo for the money (like, say, weakening NATO to please Putin) then he’s an agent whether his foggy brain acknowledges the fact or not.

Russian agent? Probably not.

I know, early voting yada yada, but this country and its voters just fill me with despair and disgust.

Hmmmm ‘It Was Written’, ‘God’s Son’ and ‘Life Is Good’ are all great albums....he just never had the commercial likability as Jay-Z.

I’d argue Nas’ discography is actually a little bit better than Jay-Z’s. Every album Jay dropped between Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint is mostly forgettable.

Nas released one of the bar-none, greatest rap records of all time in 1994 with Illmatic. His output since then never really lived up, and now you mostly see him on Hennessey commercials, but for a while “Jay-Z or Nas?” was a conversation.

I’m in the mountain part of CO, and I’ve never heard anyone call it “Midwest.” I’ve heard a little “Southwest,” but mostly “West” or “Mountain West.”

Ahahaha this is so true. Fuck Midwestern summers.
