That is kind of odd. All the voir dire proceedings I've seen have involved at least a few questions to each potential juror.

Uh, all I really had left was the observation that since cops have a nationwide, proven racial animus against people of color and arrest them more often, you're going to end up with a judicial system that tries, convicts, and imprisons people of color at similarly disproportionate rates.

Generally, the prosecution wants people who are good at critical thinking and the defense absolutely does not. When the accused is guilty as hell, all the defense can do is throw out a bunch of irrelevant crap and hope it confuses enough people that they get an acquittal.
