Sounds great. Awesome, glad to read that they didn’t potentially screw up the film. Hey Arnold is still one of my favs, and I hope they go out well.

Hollywood is, and will always be a sexist environment, such is the nature of the business. I’m glad females are finally coming out, all these accusations were a long time coming. I hope things get better, though I have no hope.
He actually made into a theme though, before it was really a rhythm, and there wasn’t much you could do. Elfman made it possible to extend more. I personally loved it.
Well CD’s in general don’t sell as well, and scores rarely sold as well as music song CD’s to begin with. The problem is, is that online made everything convenient, so people don’t seek out this stuff as much really.
It’s not, but it’s not meant to be. It’s supposed to be dark, whereas Superman is bold and optimistic. It fits the character of Batman to a T though.
I doubt it was that specific. More like they just didn’t like the direction she was going with the film, that and Lasseter maybe got a bit too close in retrospect.
Well that’s unfortunate., though this hardly exclusive to Disney. Females have it rough in general.
Evil Cassidy is a delight.
Also Lasseter ran WDAS, and that has Jennifer Lee at least, but then again looking over and most of the major directors seem to be male too. Plus Pixar has has had some female writers in the past. Maybe it’s a complicated history thing, especially with “male dominance” lasting as long as it has. Who knows, if it…
I still think the relationship works and I like the film, but yeah, it seems pretty obvious now why Chapman ultimately got the “ax” in the end.
As a Pixar fan, I have no idea how to clarify what working at Pixar is like though, as I’ve never been there directly, so no I can’t defend them.
Apparently her original intention was to make it a bit darker and with less slapstick, though I can’t find any source on that.
Cassidy made a fun appearance on the 1990's Flash TV shows as a non-costumed Mirror Master. My mom was a big fan of him back in the day too. This is just so sad to read. RIP!
Well soundtracks don’t sell like they used to, so I can understand it in that regard. What I don’t understand is why producers or directors are so opposed to actual “themes”. Great themes help give the film personality. It’s mind-boggling.
Calm down, I’m pretty sure I’m not going on, I’m just trying to make a point. No need to get all “worked up” over it. Lasseter is a creep, and that’s unfortunate. I just hope it doesn’t hurt Coco is all.
Well there are “claims”, is what I am saying. Innocent until proven, I suppose.
You replied to a post talking about lots of people being involved with Pixar film. That’s what it seemed to me anyway.
Most of the melodies in The Nightmare Before Christmas are memorable and hummable. “This is Halloween” for example. His scores for Batman and Batman Returns have some great themes too, and while his Spider-Man theme isn’t really super hummable, it fits the character quite-well.
My point is, is that Coco was made by people at Pixar. It shouldn’t be affected because of Lasseter’s scandals. Now if accusations came out against Unkrich, then yes that would be a serious issue. The film shouldn’t fail because of what the awful things did Lasseter, and hopefully it doesn’t.
You were referring to Pixar as a whole. This shouldn’t affect the studio, other then that they need a new head leader now. Lasseter wasn’t the only guy working at Pixar anyway.
