He was typecast, more in the sense that people only knew him for one rule, and he couldn’t escape that film. His roles between ROTJ and BTAS featured a lot of low-budget fare. Voice-acting was basically a way to try something new, and he grew to love it.

Yeah, at least they split the production fees, I suppose. It’s a bit of a thud for them regardless, though.

Maybe audiences didn’t get it. It doesn’t mean they hated it, they just didn’t understand it. I liked Gosling’s character, and a lot of the supporting characters were front and center too at points as well, which was awesome too.

The BTAS Bane looks too much like a “clown”. I prefer the more stylized / cooler one that appeared in TNBA.

I disagree about the characters not being memorable. It’s actually one of the best films in recent years, where everyone even the minor characters with just a scene is well-served to the films plot. In fact I can’t think of a sole favorite character / performance from the film, because their are so many to choose from.

Ford was great and very much alive as a gruff older Deckard, I thought.

Warner Brothers didn’t really spend much on the film in terms of the budget. It was actually primarily Sony and Alcon.

Hamill was mostly washed-up at the time he did BTAS, and was desperately trying to escape the clutches of being typecasted. I’m not sure the claims that people wouldn’t have bought Luke Skywalker as The Joker, have much legitimately to them, but I’m glad he got the part regardless.

Um The Scarecrow, and Bane’s redesigns were greatly improved.

I doubt it spoils anything big. These new Star Wars have been pretty good at keeping secrets under-wraps in terms of trailer content.

Decent trailer. You can tell where the reshoots seem to have happened, but the team dynamic looks to be much stronger, then the previous trailers seem to show. Aquaman looks great too.

I saw it several hours ago. I loved it, and I think it’s better then the original. Fantastic storytelling.
