By that logic 99% of actors play themselves. When she’s in Joy, or Silver Linings Playbook, or Winters Bone, she’s not literally playing herself (do you think she’s like her character in real life?). That’s an ignorant way of looking at it.

Because they were mislead by Bush, Cheney, & the government. They took advantage of fear & anger. It’s actually understandable when you think about it, even though in retrospect the Iraq war was a huge mistake.

I think she’s a very good actress. Like any actress though, she needs the right roles. She was very good in Joy despite that film being “poo”.

Neither Crimson Peak or The Shape of Water apparently, are really that big-budgeted, if that helps.

Yeah it’s usually a big budgeted studio production & usually he wants to do things on his own term. I’m still bummed he didn’t do The Hobbit, it could have been more interesting then what we got.

How many projects GDT has left has been heavily exaggerated IMO. It’s really no different then your average filmmaker who makes major released films, anyway, GDT just happens to be more open about it.

Yup, most of his films are pretty great actually IMO. I’m sure this will be no different.
