I don’t think this is something we’re gonna agree on. The convolution of it all is a big part of what hurts the plot to me. Well, that, and the fact that it takes itself soooooo damned seriously. And that’s sadly not just a quirk of the writing, but Kojima’s ego shining through.

‘Unique’ and ‘Good’ are unfortunately very different things and it is entirely possible for a game to be one without being the other.

While I never could’ve predicted half of this weirdness, it certainly is the exact sense of ‘One very interesting idea for every three that make my eyes roll out of my skull’ that I was expecting from this game.
