Part of the problem there is that no amount of explanation can make absolutely everything make sense. Even if you restrict it to the things that matter to you as most people would, some of those are hard to explain and simplification might eventually lead to misunderstandings or involuntary falsehoods.

Making it mostly about Thanos and his perspective is...an interesting choice, but one I’m not entirely sure is smart. On the one hand, we want our big villain to be interesting and imposing. On the other, the heroes are kinda the main reason we’re watching.

Yeah but, at least for me, I wound up very squarely on one side of the conflict. Tony is quick to hop on board but, by the end of the movie, he actually is the far more reasonable one.
