I don't think it's lazy writing, it's just a choice the writer makes when giving a character a backstory.

Not convinced that a 650m could power a display running any game at 2880 x 1800... That GPU would have to downscale the game, unless it was a much older game, which would completely defeat the purpose of the high resolution display in the first place...

More patience than me! I completely gave up on RoF and I fully understand and "Get" the combat system. I just think it's cheesy and weird, and the running animations for all the characters looked extremely unnatural.
