Season 2 was so much better than season 1 it might as well have been a different show. I think it pissed away so much goodwill with season 1, though, that viewers were burned.

Not the strongest episode of the season, and the hotel sketch was just terrible. But I liked most of the rest of it. She's absolutely worth watching every week.

I feel bad sticking the boot in, because I thought "Enlisted" was pretty bad. And it's the show with maybe the least international sales likelihood, because those wacky American soldiers aren't seen as heroes in a lot of places round the world.

I had an idea that Silas could be used as the Great Resetter, because they've killed off so many great people and the murder rate in Mystic Falls makes Baltimore look like Teletubby Land. They bring everyone back, they can keep the people they want and get rid of the rest, and there's multiple plotlines for them to

It's possible they reshot the earlier stuff? It sounds unlikely, with TV schedules being what they are, but something's off - it's too big a mistake to just be continuity.

So you remain convinced that they ripped off a comment from a sport commentator from over 25 years ago? The rest of your comment appears to be stating that because I disagree with you, I'm the same as a slave owner, so I'll leave you to try and troll someone else.

Let's talk fantasy casting!

I have no idea who Jimmy the Greek is, so I looked him up and discovered he'd been dead for 18 years, and made the comments you're referring to in 1988, before a significant proportion of SNL's viewers were even born.

You're being very generous about him there, he wasn't in that many sketches before he got the Update gig either.

Fred Armisen can and did play Obama, for years. What are you talking about? He handed over the gig to someone who did a much better impression, and who'd be there for the remainder of Obama's term.

Seems weird that you're bagging on cynical attempts at virality in your first sentence, then using hashtags in your second. Ah well, not that weird I suppose.

Those facts and reality you insist is there, but can't lift a finger to go and find?

He was at 30 Rock recently for an appearance on Fallon, and talked a little about SNL.

There were a few other jokes that were less than kind about Murphy in the next few seasons too. Everyone had a dig at him.

When your entire audience and fanbase thinks you're one thing, and you say literally nothing, ever, to disabuse them of that notion, then I think it's fair to be a little critical.

Watching the 1995 and onwards episodes, it becomes apparent by 1997 that he was completely burned out on Update. His jokes were lazy, sexist, homophobic garbage in the most part, and while there were still a few laughs every episode, he'd stopped trying.

You are aware reality has no fourth wall to break, right?

Does something being an opinion really have to be said every time? Really? Nice rich life you lead there.

Funny how it's just you that had problems, isn't it? You're still annoyed over going in there, dangling spoilers over everyone's heads and being called out on it?

It's not history! It's fiction! Why are you applying your Earth morality to this story that is not set on our planet?
