Imagine living in the mountains of western North Carolina and getting hit by the remnants of a hurricane...and in some ways harder than Florida got hit. What a bizarre turn of events. I feel terrible for the people whose families, lives, livelihoods, communities, etc simply got washed away with little to no warning.

This being SF, there’s a whole lot of crazy walking the streets so if I see someone in this get-up at a crosswalk I can’t determine if they’re legitimately trying to cross the street or just being weird.

Agreed about the amber flashing lights. If it is not an intersection, how am I supposed to know the person standing on the side of the road isn’t waiting for a bus (we dont have dedicated benches at every stop here) or just stopped for any other reason. That video clip looks like its a controlled intersection with a street light, and a crosswalk sign. So, their officer, is committing jaywalking at that intersection if he is entering the crosswalk against the pedestrian controls.
