Vehicle lost traction? I’ve launched boats hundreds of times, of all sizes, using mostly 2wd trucks with highway tires on all kinds of ramps. Never had a worry about losing traction, maybe spin a little bit on mossy, weedy or gravel-on-concrete ramps.

That listing read a LOT like a dealership selling back lot cars as personal vehicles. Which might explain the no test drives statement in the listing.

I was leaning to NP, but then I saw the mileage, the failing clutch and the seller not letting anyone test drive... and that last point is a deal breaker for me.

I know, I know, “in this market” and all that, but just short of 10 large for 125k+ miles on a fucking Neon?

It’s like this: you want to point to a complete Dodge bigot, it’s me. But even I wouldn’t touch this Neon since it’ll end up being an albatross around your neck. ND.

So far this is less egregious than the incident in Portland a few years ago where a Saudi national was charged in a hit-and-run and fled the US with government assistance.  This flit appears to be private enterprise and lazy police who didn't get a warrant and arrest Ye in the hospital.

Saving grace was that it was 3:45am.  So at least the opportunity to take a bunch of innocents with her was greatly reduced.

Counterpoint: Fuck Machine Gun Kelly and his entire douchebag schtick. I’m living for the day a bank safe falls from a tall building and crushes him, Wiley Coyote style.

that looks like video game physics.

Especially with the circumstantial evidence (alcohol breath) and a potential flight risk with not being a US citizen (?). nevermind this was a case involving a fatality, a warrant should have issued that night and blood samples taken for alcohol content.

Crashed on 9/30 and left the hospital on 10/6.

I’m pretty sure I’ve got a set of unused tongs that I’d be willing to trade for this. Haven’t even clank-clanked them.

Do you want to get arrested for tampering with evidence?  Because that’s precisely how you would get arrested for tampering with evidence.

She’s trying to, but when you are kept prisoner for twenty years then you miss a lot of developmental milestones. She’s essentially a twenty-something kid in a forty year old’s body. She’s making the same dumb mistakes twenty something kids make. It sucks.

Yeah, you know going in that a crash that bad is going to be gnarly. And then you watch the video, and it’s somehow so much worse.

That video is terrifying.

Due to a number of factors, including Ye’s treatment at a nearby hospital and a delay in the detectives’ ability to speak to first responders, the arrest warrant wasn’t entered into the system until October 10.

No, just do front to back on the individual sides. You'd have to do that with asymmetric tires anyway. The whole diagonal swap thing doesn't or shouldn't be done these days.

The whole thing boils down to “don’t be an asshole” and everyone gets along just fine.
