I laughed out loud during the Qatar race when Hamilton very clearly turned into Russel & crashed out, then got on the radio to complain that “My teammate hit me.”

No, checking everything would take days, so they do mostly random checks on an equally random variety of component so nobody can guess what’s going to be checked on which cars.
Thank you. If I understand correctly then: If the car were allowed to bottom out on the full belly pan, it would disrupt the airflow and make the car unstable, but with the plank in place, the car bottoms out on the plank, preserving the airflow across the rest of the underbody?
He’s not wrong in that there likely were a few others that would’ve failed inspection but the FIA aren’t blind either. I’ve seen a myriad of photos of cars from that weekend and Merc / Ferrari were running substantially lower setups than their direct competitors. For efficiency sake, they’re not going to randomly…
The plank helps maintain a bare minimum of space between the track surface and the rest of the undercar aero to still allow the aero to work. The plank isn’t the entire underside so even when the car does bottom out onto the plank, the car doesn’t become unduly unstable. Only if the plank were to be entirely worn out…
Lewis was my favorite driver from the start of his career until about 2016, when his constant whining about Rosberg as Rosberg was just edging him out in a few races to eventually win the championship (with allegations flying all around that Mercedes was favoring Rosberg because he is German) started to become really…
Nonetheless, his car was found to be illegal. And was disqualified.
Yes, it’s like with speeding speeding ticket on the highway, some will get away some don’t, but they can’t catch everyone. Don’t go above the speed limit if you don’t want to get pulled over.
Sure, it would need a lot of work. But it’s handsome, it’s unmolested, and it’s complete. That has to be the most charming dash I’ve seen in a while. And something about the intact headliner tells me this has life in it yet. NP.
Drag racing over a mere 330 feet...I didn’t know such an iteration existed.
330' is a joke.
This is NOT a test mule. This is a pre-production vehicle and they are NOT built to break down. They are built to test out manufacturing and design process for all sorts of issues. Breaking down is NOT one of them.
“CHC ... drives a Ford F150 Raptor” and parks in the handicapped electric charging station. Classy
Every angle is stupid looking.
It’s stupid looking from all angles.
Can anyone vouch for where Donovan McNabb was that day?
$69?
Even if it’s not the intended purpose, the point is moot because anything can be a butt-plug if you’re brave enough.
