I think Final Fantasy XIV is responsible for a bigger hit to WoW's numbers than New World. 

Real talk: WB needs to stop pouring hundreds of millions into weirdly toned mean-spirited “adult” live-action adaptations and lean HARD into what’s already been proven to work best not just artistically, but thematically: Animation. The best version of DC’s characters have always been their animated versions.

There’s a sex scene in Lady of the Lake which is one of the funniest things I’ve ever read. (It’s the library one, obviously.)

As others have pointed out, Activision Blizzard lay people off regardless. They laid off a bunch right after reporting record profits.

That was my first thought, too. As far as I can tell, most pro sports have around 30 teams, and OWL is still a ways away from that. Though, if half the tanks really do get cut, I can’t imagine they’re gonna make 10+ new teams. But even a few new ones would help absorb players.

Yeah this is kind of my takeaway too - even the excerpt used in this article is super weird. It seems like the author was trying to bait her into giving quotes about political issues she didn’t really want to comment on and wouldn’t take no for an answer. I get that it’s your job as a journalist to get juicy quotes…

Well, there’s that famous screenshot of the “Boycott Modern Warfare 2" steam group on the game’s release day. So personally, I don’t doubt some of them will be the same people.

That is always my end goal. To become so OP I blaze through the final Zone.

That is why I enjoyed the new leveling zone Exile’s Reach, everything that happens there is not world ending, you aren’t important, your NPC allies aren’t important, the bad guy isn’t important. It is just an adventure. It was the closest I felt to a Vanilla WoW experience.

I think it would be fine if the game actually treated us like we are, ala FFXIV. But instead we get lip service to it and all the other characters are the real heroes.

The cap for me was Cata. At the end of Deathwing, it felt like there was no other way the game could make me feel more directly involved in stopping a world ending event. And now everything else just feels kinda pointless.

My character is so tired of being the lynchpin of Azeroth’s redemption. Can’t these god modded main characters do anything for themselves for once?

I do agree that it feels like getting to Lv. 50 is too easy and quick right now, and that it should have been slowed down a fair bit.
