Every American made car with manual has had skip shift for decades. Its also easily ignored. Some cars it can be pulled through. Others you just shift at a higher rpm.

Is this real? Who is dumb enough to burn their clutch like that on a hill? Hill assist is when you take your foot off the brake and go to gas, not clutch. Skip shift is easily bypassed by just reving higher and shifting later. I find it hard to believe this article is not a joke.
