I have a legit question: Is "I was too drunk to know what I was doing" ever a defense for anything? I mean, if so, then suddenly DUIs don't make any sense. If I get super drunk and kill someone, is it okay? Not to mention all the victim blaming of "she shouldn't of gotten so drunk if she didn't want to get raped" kind

I think you mean Thanks Obamacare!

There's a couple of problems with this idea. Most importantly the fact that flying wings were not stable enough to be flown by humans, and still aren't. The US developed one later and it was also stalled by the same problems. It wasn't until fly by wire systems became viable that we were able to built viable flying

There's more to this shot! You see Captain America behind him and either Ultron or an Ultron minion!

Yea! I want them to do a spinoff right, like Stargate Atlantis. It's own, important story, but ties back to the original for awhile.

Yea that's what I heard too.

Is this one a biopic as well or more of a dramatized version like The Social Network? Both are good if done well, but I thought the Sorkin version was going more toward the dramatic retelling than the biopic.

I'm banned for life from BofA. They charged me over $1400 in fees for less than $200 in overages once (I was young and didn't pay as much attention to my account) and they refused to work with me. They finally agreed to bring it down to $1100 after countless phone calls. A few letters to my local bank controllers let

That's a good point. As a historian it's easy to forget the modern counterparts.

As a (fairly competent) chess player, I always hated it when people claim they are "just a pawn". Pawns are incredibly important to the game and those who squander their pawns lose the game. If I'm playing a well-matched player and I get a pawn ahead I've basically won the game. All I have to do is evenly trade out

It's essentially because the King and Queen face each other rather than being flipped. If the board was a mirrored the queen would face the king and that would seriously hamper the movement of pieces right off the bat.

Manipulating people can be so much fun. There are also two types of fun ways to do it. When the person knows they are being manipulated and it's goodnatured and in good fun. Do this to your friends and they'll laugh along and it makes everyone feel good. The ones that are more satisfying are when you get someone to do

I clicked the link for the gravity powered generator. They don't want to say exactly how it works because they need the money to make a working prototype for the patent office. Because that's totally how patents work.

Except that most of the world's population lives in Africa and Asia in areas where the internet traffic is not the greatest.

I feel like this is a great way to see wealth distribution in the world.

Kind of like how Private Browsing in Safari on the iPhone turns everything dark. Just an extension of that.

I feel like there's a big hole in that. So now all someone needs to do is steal your phone and your fitness band? Or be close to your house?

So what you're saying is that we shouldn't get excited about fusion in 10 years from LM, but that we can definitely get excited about it in general as it's probably going to happen in 10 years anyway because of the progress being made? Neat!

Weren't there 5 movies before The Avengers? The Incredible Hulk, Iron Man 1, Iron Man 2, Thor, and Captain America. Or are you not counting Iron Man 2?

I live in Philly and this is one of the super cool things we don't get to see from the city very often. :)
