As someone that work in law you’d be surprised the things that defendants claim are “relevant.”

If you give your doctor pertinent information that is relevant to your mental state at the time of your complaint for damages based on emotional distress, all of that is discoverable unfortunately. The scope of that discoverability is TBD tho.

They can and probably have which is why the phrasing “getting her medical records” is true but not true. They are probably subpoenaing them, which her attorneys are probably drafting a motion to quash and/or a protective order to protect said records.
