The funny thing is, right after the SNL parody came out, I showed both to my friend side by side and refused to believe that they both weren't parodies of a third song. It was actually kind of funny.

I don't really see this as changing anything for me. I've never wanted to be able to go back and see a tweet again. If it's some link I might be interested in, I bookmark it. I just don't see a use for it.

You know, I feel really out of it. I only heard about Bitcoin 2 or 3 days ago. The rest of the Internet seems to have known about it for a minimum of two months, based on some rudimentary research.

I guess the images aren't to scale (despite the meter on the side) as the Freedom Tower is clearly taller than Dubai Tower, ICC and World Financial Center.

You know, I read this science fiction story once where they discovered Earth has a ring. Unfortunately, I forget what happened as a result of the discovery, but it was bad. Therefore, I will wait over with vague apprehension that something bad will be happening shortly.

I really like hot temperatures (I would rather be in Dallas where it was 114 than deal with the goddamned cold. Hell, I would rather live in Furnace Creek year round than deal with cold.) I'm actually pretty happy with this. I do know one guy guy in Seattle where he said it's only been above 80 for one day so far this

I showed this article to one of my friends. He said, and I quote, "I would go insane and start murdering people if someone tried to force me to keep the a/c at 78. Anything over 71 during the summer is absolutely unacceptable, period."

My parent's house has one of those, has since the mid 80s. At the time, they debated installing either central air or a whole house fan. While the house (which was about 12-14 years old at that point) did have vent work installed for central A/C, the vent work is so crappy it'd only cool the upstairs hall and living

A lot of people are saying Borders was too expensive. Personally, I figured books cost what they cost and I would buy whatever I wanted with no regard to price. Strangely, the Borders in the mall local to me closed down about 2 years ago and they (the people at the store, that is) said Borders was going out of

I remember I was at a friends once, about ten years ago, and his parents started yelling for him, saying "Get in here NOW! THIS IS AN EMERGENCY!" ... The taskbar on windows was on the side of the screen instead of the bottom and they were freaking out. Seriously freaking out, like they'd just heard a nuclear missile

Yeah, you could even see Challenger coming apart for a second. I'm not so sure I would have put that in there.

The first sentence in this article needs serious revision. I had to read it three times before I could make sense of it. Though thinking Louise Boat is a person is pretty hilarious.

I've always had the 2 DVD plan with Netflix and that's only going up by $4, according to the e-mail I got from Netflix last night. (Strange that I haven't seen any articles on this mention anything but the 1 DVD plan price.) I find a $4 increase reasonable, considering they have to have rising costs due to inflation

I have the two DVDs and unlimited streaming plan (leftover from when I signed up to Netflix, pre-streaming.) However, I'm kinda liking what a few other people have suggested: Unlimited streaming and Redbox for physical DVDs. (or similar, one of the stores around here uses a some generic version of Redbox. It looks

I actually know one person who (honestly, no joke) thinks Kesha is some of the best music made by anyone in the past 5 years. So some people probably would say that.

This is why I'll never use a service like this. I don't need people telling me I listen to crap. Though I tend to listen to a lot of stuff the average person has never heard of. (eg, Tides from Nebula, Robert Rich, Front Line Assembly. All well known in their respective genres, but not to the general public.) It'd be

Very interesting. For some reason, though, I had trouble with my eyes going out of focus and I kept seeing double. The effect completely stops when I see double, which is sort of interesting to me.

Because people complain if he doesn't have it. I'm totally serious. They tried to take it off him in the 90s and got flooded with complaints and never went through with it. Or that's the story the guy told me at the comic book store once, anyway.

A bunch of my friends used to use bics. They'd laugh at me as I'd try for 2 or 3 minutes (unsuccessfully) to get a top of a bottle. I actually started carrying a bottle opener with me whenever I hung out with them.

I've never been there before; however, if that page has been defaced someone who doesn't know Arabic wouldn't be able to tell. Just some images and a bunch of Arabic text.
