The Hot Felon story seems really Dickensian.

Julianne’s dress was boring, the perfect dress for her. And Peta’s series of dresses were tacky. She wore a feathered monstrosity to the reception.

Well I’m not sure that she wants to be sterilized. I’m guessing that tube tying would be dangerous. I’m also guessing that ovary and or uterus removal would be her only options if she doesn’t want to have kids. It sounds like the best option would be for her feckless “husband” to get the snip rather than her. He

I used to go to the library with my dad every Sunday as a kid and check out ... pretty much as many books as they’d let me. The librarian would say “you know these all have to be back in two weeks, right sweetie?” And my dad would laugh and tell her I’d have read 3 of them by bedtime.

Buh? Can’t you just return it if you’re done with it?

I just did that last week with The Killers of Flower Moon. I returned it almost immediately though because there is a really long waiting list at my library and seeing it on my desk for the 2 extra weeks would’ve made me feel guilty (these are the kinds of emotions I now feel that one of my best friends has become a

Hi everyone. I just wanted to share this woman’s story. I understand that most of you probably can’t help monetarily but if you can star this post so it get some attention and maybe share it on your social media it would be much appreciated. I don’t know this woman at all and I’m not the creator of this gofundme, she

There were times where he was the only likable character on that show. How sad, he was so young.

1) I am unable to keep up with rapper names and genuinely thought Ferrari in question was the Italian car maker, so trying to parse what I was reading was... Difficult at the beginning.

I blame the government. Who expects old white people in Florida to comprehend intersectionality?

I like the crazy colors but open shelving in the kitchen has got to DIE. Useless. This kitchen has it directly above the stove! She’ll have to wash those dishes before she puts any food on them!

This hurts my brain to look at, but she’s definitely living her best life.

Image from McMansion Hell— a live, love laugh wallpaper border! Also Mickey ears above the fireplace. I’m not sure which is worse.

She’s going to write for a Black-ish spin-off. Which is seriously awesome! But we’ll miss her writing here for sure.

Full sincerity here; we’ll miss you and your writing here. I’m continually sad to see so many brilliant writers leaving this place, but I understand. It’s tough watching this place get slowly defanged and made increasingly mainstream and Voxian, but damn if you all aren’t magnificent at what you do.

The fact that no one booked hotel rooms is AMAZING to me. Like what a perfect representation of how awful this government is.

Yeah...I sort of hate that this movie is being used as the laundry line that airs these issues. It’s an important point that deserves to be heard, but this is literally the third article I’ve read online about The Big Sick mainly discussing issues with white women/Asian men onscreen. It starts feeling like a

Thank you. I came here to say this. People keep asking for stories about real people that are inclusive. THIS IS A FUCKING REAL STORY THAT IS INCLUSIVE. SO REAL IN FACT THAT IT FUCKING HAPPENED. Unless white women now have to either date within their race or no one is allowed to tell true stories about interracial

I agree but isn’t this particular movie a true story? I don’t think it belongs quite in the same category because it was Kumail’s real life experience with his current partner and not a fictional creation. Thoughts?
