Didn’t William the Conqueror explode at his funeral?

What I really hate about summer makeup is that I’ll spend 15-20 minutes doing my face, then I’ll step outside and my face turns bright pink from the heat, completely obliterating any colour I’ve applied to my face. My hair wilts, my back gets all sweaty and lately my hands have started to swell — what the fuck is up…
I hate musicals. If a musical comes on TV, I run out of the room like I’m on fire. That said, I’m happy for these wins.
I honestly thought Bella Hadid was in her late 20s, maybe even early 30s. I was floored to learn the girl was only 19! (Not that there’s anything wrong w/looking a little older, but when you’re a teenager and you already look 30, that’s gotta suck).
* I meant to write “subdue” not “placate”
Speaking of Chicago, I’m always struck at how different Canada is to the US. Toronto is a city with roughly the same population as Chicago, yet the differences in homicides is jaw dropping. In 2015, Toronto had 56 homicides, while Chicago had 468 — that’s 8.5X more!
I don’t have anything against the present royal family either, but I wish ppl would remember how the Royals (and Royals from other countries) obtained their wealth which was by invading, er, “colonizing” other countries. Read about what King Leopold did to the Congolese. How do you placate hundreds of thousands of…
Fun fact: about 90% of all murder-suicides are committed by men. (Thankfully these types of murders are very rare, making up only 5% of overall homicides.)
Ugh, I loathed Top of the Lake! There is so much to hate about this show — the slow pacing, Moss’s on-again-off-again accent, pointless characters like the entire Hippie Women clan, the girl with the guitar that was flown in on a helicopter, the unlikeable victim Tui, the abrupt, unsatisfying ending, plus a plot that…
* spoiler alert!*
Definitely, definitely Justified. I never considered myself a fan of westerns, but this show has changed my mind. It’s based on a series of books by Elmore Leonard and it’s about a US Marshal named Raylan Givens (played wonderfully by Timothy Olyphant) that returns to his small town in Harlan, Kentucky.
Insane? First of all let’s tone down the hyperbole, ‘kay? Secondly I was criticizing the narrow roles that society puts women in, namely you can only be a wife or mother, and yes that is in part due to misogyny and one of the biggest ways to control women is through marriage.
Maybe the problem here is the institution of marriage? When a society expects women to marry, and makes being a wife/mother the only thing a woman can ever hope to be, it puts women in an impossibly small box.
Miss Magnussen’s attitude reminds me very much of George Lawlor’s attitude. Lawlor gained fame when he posted a photo of himself with a sign reading “This is not what a rapist looks like,” in response to being invited to a campus consent event. Lawlor, BTW, is a good looking, clean cut, white, British guy.

Silly question here, but do Indian/South Asian women have the right to NOT get married? What if you’re one of those women who has zero interest in getting hitched or having kids?
Now that is the face you make when Karma’s just bitch-slapped you!
Sorry to rain on your parade, but Google “raccoon + roundworm”.
YES.
I think that if we want to stop violence against women, we should start first with BELIEVING them. Believe women when they say their boyfriend/husband beats them. Believe women when they say they routinely experience street harassment. Believe women when they say their boss is hitting on them.
