If I listened to Ebert on horror movies, I would never watch any one that was made after the original Halloween.

I love when critics admit to not understanding the plots of genre movies in a sort-of boasting way, as if saying "look how cool I am for not trying to engage with stupid movie!".
As opposed to gratuitious explosions and real boobs, as the boobs had to be silicone and an explosion can never be gratuitous.
For a person from a monochromatic Central European country, where race is rarely discussed (which does not that we are not racist, quite on the contrary, we have made hating brown people who are not even here a national sport), the incident at the end of "The Animals" did not even immediately appear as having much to…
So, most of the stale wrestlers are on the Team USA, while most of
the entertaining ones are on the "Multi-National Alliance" or whatever? I
guess America really needs to be made great again.
My feelings about Berserk pretty much mirror my my feelings about the Song of Ice and Fire series. Initially I was in love with it, but very soon it departed from pretty much everything that had me emotionally invested in it in the first place in favor of introducing a lot of stuff that will, perhaps, lead to a…
Halfway through the new season of Orange is the New Black - quite sad that I wasn't able to watch along with the reviews to join the discussion, but I'm watching with my sister so it's not completely, ehem, *solitary*.
I wonder if I will ever finish the last season of Buffy. The show had such an incredible run from "I was made to love you" to "Once more with a feeling", but once Buffy hooked up with Spike and Willow got hooked on black magic, it became such a depressing (if admittedly intermittenly brilliant) slog that I lost…
The true legacy of Sonic? Catchy tunes. Green Hill Zone Theme is pure joy, I sometimes put that level on just to hear the tune.
It helps wash to away the guilt.
Holy shit, if he could only be half as expressive when acting.
As for continuation of the story of Rust, I could kinda see it a pleasant but non-essential miniseries, in which Rust settles down in a small Texas town and helps the sheriff investigate the murder of a local big shot. The plot would be rather mundane and the whole would be more like Rectify than the first two seasons…
I admit I kind of can't stop looking at that image, it actually distracts me from doing productive stuff.
This is LOLTNA - but in a GOOD way.
If it's not too bothersome, please give us regular reports from the Brother Nero storyline. This is some beautiful Tommy Wiseau-level stuff.
With regards to the dialogue, I wonder how much of that is the translation. Both the games and the novels are incredibly "Polish", although I have to say that I only played the first game and I have to say that even in Polish, it sometimes felt like a bad copy of Sapkowski's writing, which was profane but witty (the…
I sort of disagree about the slow burn - I actually think that some of the storylines are too accelerated, like Mil Muertes' monster reign which lasted about 15 minutes. It would have been better in my opinion if they waited a few more weeks for the Aztec Warfare and let him squash a few more people.
One thing you have probably noticed is that the announcers were not really putting Bray as scary… Rather, they were talking about his charisma.
I loved that match when he tagged with Roman. People went apeshit when they realized Bray is working babyface.
