I always thought the smarter name wouldve been "3DS Plus "(or just use the '+' sign). That or Super 3DS since it is a faster processor, Ram, and eye tracking movement.

It is a new system. Newer processor, more RAM, better 3D (tracks eye movement), micro SD instead of SD. SO yeah its a new "console". Just wish they named it differently.
