Well I’m glad it was brought to your attention before you bought it! I have wondered whether just calling it “Final Fantasy VII Remake” is going to make people think it’s the whole game if they haven’t been paying attention. I thought they would have renamed it “Final Fantasy VII Remake: Part One” by now. Although

Yeah, I’m with you - just wanted to make sure we weren’t conflating non-binary with transgender. The whole point of her character was that she was a binary person in a non-binary race so she had to "come out" as a woman in the same way someone would have to "come out" as non-binary in real life. So it's like they

It says non-binary, not transgender.

If you have a PS4, get the original Final Fantasy VII on it - you can play it with a fast forward button, turn off random encounters if you want, and earn trophies. That will help you get through it faster - if you're scared of time commitments the remake is asking for trouble as it's only the first part of the game

Doesn’t that strike you as odd though? We’ve been told that the new game is a remake of Final Fantasy VII, but Final Fantasy VII is a 40-80 hour long game, only the first 3-4 hours of which are set in Midgar - for the most part you’ve got access to a wide variety of locations across a wide world map.

Yeah, I wonder if that was part of the reasoning behind this.

Yeah, same here. Good sci-fi is often a cautionary tale and it’s nothing new to Doctor Who (contrary to what the “It’s too PC!” crowd would tell you) but I’ve never seen it practically break the fourth wall to deliver a monologue directly to camera before; it’s usually more allegorical.

And every episode of Splitscreen recently has ended with them saying "We'll find a way to keep doing this podcast whatever happens" which I find incredibly ominous.

I think you scrolled too far before commenting!

Not the biggest Star Trek fan but that's all I want from the series - for it to move on, instead of messing around with prequels and alternate timelines. TV is finally doing that with Picard, let's have the movies do it as well - whether it ties in with Picard or not.

I loved Jaylah so much and became a huge Sofia Boutella fan after that movie. It wasn't a great movie but it certainly was enjoyable, and that was largely due to her.

I guess only that you have to pay for a Home subscription?

Wasn't this obvious from the start?

My favourite thing about the GameBoy Player is that it actually made the GameCube a cube.

I recently realised David Hornsby is married to Emily Deschanel. My mind was blown at the thought of Cricket married to Bones.

You do know that arson’s a crime, right? As in, a fire that’s started deliberately.

This is like me pissing into the ocean and you saying the ocean is made of piss.

Yeah, it wasn't great but I'd happily sit through 1-2 sequels to see where it goes, and there's no reason that series couldn't co-exist alongside anything that Sam + Bruce do in future, although preferably with the occasional crossover.

This is the correct take - it just doesn’t make sense that Disney spent $4 billion on the rights to this franchise, announced a new trilogy and then decided to hire three random directors and just let them do whatever. The standalone movies were the place to let individual directors shine - which worked perfectly

But when Yoda said he was 900 and the Client said the Child was 50, were they talking about the same years? Because Yoda could have been talking about Dagobah years, or Coruscant years, or the years of whatever planet he considered home, and the Client might have been speaking in Nevarro years, which might not be the
