That really sucks for people who want their computers to ‘just work’ but it’s really the fault of Broderbund rather than Microsoft because it was their decision to only implement Windows 10 support in a newer version that requires another payment rather than adding it in a free patch for the existing version. I hate

Have you tried it recently? Because the solution seems to be to use x360ce, which didn’t work with Windows 10 when it (Win10) was first released but has been updated since and now people seem to be using it with no problem (not having the game I can’t say for sure, but I have used x360ce for other games in Win10 just

Well I don’t own the game myself so I can’t say I’ve tried any of them, but the most popular one uses x360ce, which I have used with other games and that works in Windows 10 so I don’t see why it won’t work specifically with Conviction in Windows 10. Also the game was in a Humble Bundle back in September and there are

I totally agree about the forced upgrade - nobody should be forced, and certainly not at a time that’s inconvenient to them.

That’s a Splinter Cell: Conviction problem, not a Windows 10 problem. It’s been an issue since the game was released in 2010, irrespective of Windows version - and there are several workarounds to solve it.

I keep saying the same thing except without the sarcasm. I loved Windows 7 and was reluctant to upgrade, especially after trying Windows 8, but I gave it a go (mainly just to claim the free license for my computer before they stop doing that) and, as it turned out, never needed or wanted to go back.

What laptop/buttons are those? Just curious. My laptop’s volume and wifi controls are alternate functions on the F keys at the top and Windows 10 is actually better for it than 7 or 8 because these controls now work immediately after a fresh install, instead of me having to install drivers and/or dedicated software

$3.1 million? Not $2.1 million or $4.1 million?

Do you get trading cards for playing the game? And can you play the now-obligatory Valve sale game in this sale game? And can you get trading cards for playing that game in this game? Etc.

Well that is an oversight but it looks like Nintendo are heavily relying on this new Zelda game to sell NX so I think they’re putting all their Cucco eggs in one basket.

But as they’re holding their own stream during E3 they’re getting the same amount of exposure, as it’s during the week that gaming is dominating the news cycles, without the expense of actually attending the event.

I love JRPGs too. I think Star Ocean might be the only major series that I haven’t played any of. Is it a series I should get into and, if so, where should I start and what order should I play them in? Assuming I have the consoles/devices needed to play them...

Must have done. No way is anyone playing Battlefield 1 on a Playstation 4. That just doesn’t add up!

Just your average game of ArmA III.

Sit down, shut up and enjoy your freedom or else!

I said a Wind Waker, not Wind Waker. Yes, Wind Waker literally precedes any game that came out after it - it’s impossible to release a game now that Wind Waker doesn’t precede - but by ‘a Wind Waker’ I meant the Wii U’s equivalent of Wind Waker, i.e. a Wii U exclusive Zelda game. Instead, the Wii U’s first original

Do Nintendo have any feet left to shoot themselves in?

Except without a Wind Waker preceding it this time. :(

Wow, that’s dark but so awesome and spot on.

At least it put out that one fire!
