And Age of Mythology just got a second expansion after just over 13 years too!

And I thought Nintendo were out of touch their internet/online gaming systems were terrible!
Figured as much. It’s so ridiculous considering it would take two lawyers five minutes to hammer out an agreement on how to split the profits, of which there would be plenty because people would buy them. As it is, neither EA nor WB (nor Newline nor the Tolkein estate for that matter) are currently making anything out…
So, in other words, it’s exactly what we expected and it’s still going to make $1 billion.
There’s a short list of games that aren’t on Steam (or have had any other sort of digital distribution release) that I really wish were on Steam, and the BFME games are right at the top of it. I suppose if they did re-release it, EA might only put it on Origin, but that would be better than nothing. I have no idea why…
And so you should be! Westwood basically invented the RTS genre with Dune II, then built on that with their own IP with C&C and then perfected it, both in terms of gameplay and crazy retro-futuristic setting, with Red Alert. I realise this is a list of the best strategy games and not specifically real time strategy…
Whoa, did War Zone really come out just 4 years after the 2004 film? It felt a lot longer than that at the time, and now it’s been 8 years and I still haven’t seen it and keep thinking ‘Gotta get around to watching that’ as thought it just came out.
How safe are you from online crime?
No, everyone that had anything to do with that was summarily executed.
They could make it easier for people to pay for Diablo by releasing it digitally on Battle.net! (Please, Blizzard!)
Well GoG is mostly our past but yes, I do love their ethics.
I didn’t finish it until after Skyrim had come out! I’d put probably about 100 hours into Oblivion over the years but hadn’t actually finished the main storyline, then Skyrim was released and I spent that Christmas holiday finishing Oblivion before I moved onto it.
Same here. I got into the Elder Scrolls through getting a copy of Morrowind with a then-top-of-the-range graphics card, so to me the series belonged on PC, as something that pushed the limits of your hardware, looking better the more powerful your PC was.
And they shall call it -
But they’re the same thing. I mean if you’ve got the same game on a console and on Steam, they usually have the same list of achievements. I always feel more compelled to pursue them on 360, though, because of the gamerscore and the way it’s put right next to your gamertag.
How so?
Yeah, I’ve liked every controller they made. I’m one of those people who preferred the original Xbox controller because it was more comfortable in my hands than the later S controller, but then they kind of nailed it with the 360 controller, both ergonomically but also giving it a standard USB cable and releasing a…
Haven’t seen it bundled with a console yet here in the UK, so no idea what the RRP will be. Would be great if they sold controllers bundled with play and charge kits and wireless receivers for Windows so that I could get everything I need for my PC in one package.
I only just heard of the Elite controller by seeing one for sale at £120. My reaction was ‘Why the hell is there a controller that costs £120?’. Then I watched the Microsoft video introducing it and went ‘Oh!’
