I personally think Lightning was one of the few saving graces of XIII tbh, along with Fang. ;) Outside eye candy, there wasn't a lot to work with in that game, and I actually got into arguments defending it against some of the hate it got! =/ I did like the levelling system though.

I'd be very, very nervous about a Mass Effect movie, because the series is so dear to me, and I'm the kind of person who gets the rage when my favourite series are ruined - minus the death threats on Twitter though. Same with MGS. Haven't played Uncharted because Naughty Dog are mean and won't let Xbox have their

Straw Hat makes great points. Seeing someone as beautiful isn't the same as thinking they're a sex object and nothing more. There's nothing wrong with thinking sexual thoughts about someone, but you can be polite and respectful *and* still respect them as a person. That's not hard, surely? I know I manage to. :)

Calm, rational sense from the British as always. :) I agree wholeheartedly - my knee-jerk reaction was to the design. Hideous! BUT - quite durable, for the kiddy market it's aimed at.

I get the business logic of releasing a new, cheaper console, especially for the family market - but was that redesign really necessary?? It's like Speak-N-Spell had a drunken one night stand with a wedge of cheese!

Never played Shadows of the Damned. Must look into it. Sure we'll all have a go at Killer is Dead, then we can fine tune some lofty opinions and have further discussions!

I think she has good intentions, but is way too sensitive. And a lot of her approach is flawed. The shit she got was uncalled for, though.

You got it as a tattoo? Wow, cool! :)

I think I'll give it a play out of fairness, as I've made a few judgments based on it from reviews I've seen; and out of liking Suda51's style in general. :) A lot of people I've seen feel it lacks the depth of K7 or NMH - hence making the Gigalo thing stand out on its own looking a bit ridiculous. D'you think it's on

Oh it's used to be more attractive, sure. It's also used for concealing 'imperfections' (more miles of room for debate). But wanting to look more attractive doesn't render you an inflatable sex doll with no other reason for existance. ;)

LOL, why thank you! *adds to resume skills*

Yes, that's more what I was going for. :) I'm very wary about screeching 'sexism' about games. :) I think I might play it, just for a more rounded view. Like I say, I like most of his games. Even if it *is* a shitty sexist mess, doesn't change the quality of his work overall.

Oh Jeez. That's an argument for another thread, another day I think friend. Usual stock arguments: that's how society tells them to be, yada yada yada. And make up isn't just for sexualisation purposes, y'know. And just because someone is attractive, does that render them to being a 2D 8-bit character who only exists

I mightn't have been very clear, sorry - seems pointless to me from a gameplay perspective, rather than offending me as a woman. Now, maybe if I play it, I'll find it fun, but the mission doesn't sound fun or interesting.

Don't quite get what you're getting at there...?

"He's kind of like the gaming version of Robert Rodriguez or Quenton Tarantino where he's got a lot of style and just doesn't give a shit."

'Hatred' or 'mistrust' (misogny) might be strong words, but I think it's because overt and/or pointless sexual objectification of women tie in to it - in theory, if you respect women - you're not going to see them just as sexual objects.

YES. I agree with this 100%. The improved ending still had its flaws, but it didn't matter. They created my favourite series to date, gave me the protagonist that means more to me than any other I've ever played, made me smile, laugh, and broke my heart at the same time. And, as a gay girl, they gave me a damn
