4 days and counting? (The “offcial story”.) The submarine has likely been missing longer. This is a discovery and recover op. There will be no rescue.

Meh, yes and no. This was still during the empire building days. So a level of grandeur in the buildings of your country’s capitol was necessary. The U.S. was still trying to emulate the renaissance mindset, to a degree, and with that would come the attempt to emulate how the empires of the Greeks and Romans looked.

So, according to the dissenting judge, the “written description” doctrine should be scrapped. Plain idiocy, and that judge should have been investigated for corruption.

This made me smile. (I still hate some of these terrible terminologies, but when chained together in this manner, I smile.)

I found those stories hilarious. Mainly because it’s been statistically recorded that people are drinking more coffee while using less coffee grounds, thanks to the pods. So you’re saving water, wasting less coffee grounds and in turn increasing efficiency in the supply chain all the way back to the producer. (This

Fair point. I’m surprised the creators didn’t include an actual caricature reflective of the time and have the Cuphead hero make some sort of off hand comment about the racist nature of the representation. As both an acknowledgement and disdainful dismissal of that portion of history. (You know, a cameo of sorts that

“Where characters of color were originally depicted with racist imagery, they now risk not getting depicted at all.”

So they should have included the racist imagery?

So Espo is a #5?

Too much shit can make the soil un-tillable, even toxic.

Now playing

Don’t forget #11: The no matter what they say or do about the race topic they’re still white so they’re useless and oppressive guy. (Even the inconvenient Potbelly line guy.)

TheAngryMob says I have to “keep things edgy”. Okay.

And then Michael Douglas married her and consumed her youth........

Except by mainland standards they are charging 10 times the cost. Wages in Puerto Rico are far far lower. Yes there is the cost of bringing outside workers and housing them. It’s not ten times the mainland cost though.

They’re charging ten times the rate before you include your variables. Plus, most of those variables will be mitigated by clean up crews paid on a completely different contract to clean up the devastation. Especially considering the power will be completely off in those areas and ANYONE can clean up a dead powerline.

On a 40 hour/week schedule that contract is charging almost 10 times the cost of a lineman too.

That’s with a large chunk of overtime though. His base salary is far far below that. This company is charging $638k/year. Almost 5 times the cost of a lineman, that clearly works 50-60 hours a week. While that contract would clearly be based off a 40 hour/week cost schedule.

edit: “.....if a $300 million.....

Crony capitalism at it’s worst. Also, no foreman makes close to $644k/year in wages. The profit alone on that portion of the “contract” is in the area of 400-500%.

This sounds like it’s designed more for internally sealed wounds that require more flexibility than the normal super glue seal. The latter of which, many of you know, can be quite rigid.
