I see what you mean - I didn't catch that read on my first pass. Now that I'm going back, I'm thinking it's likely yours is the right read, though I'm still not positive.

I respect this article for what you're saying and the message you're sending to your son.

Well hey there Bob!

Exactly. When I think of Andre Johnson, I think "great receiver". When I think of Cortland Finnegan, I think "that pest who got beat up by Andre Johnson".

"There wasn't much celebration from their bench today, so you didn't see him much."

Interesting - the Wikipedia page says that Panama City was excluded from the Panama Canal Zone, but presumably it's an issue of how "Panama City" is defined - I'd guess the suburbs aren't part of that excluded area. Definitely not something I'm an expert on, so I'll confess I'm just guessing on that point (and

Wikipedia has him listed as being born in Panama City, which I believe was excluded from the Panama Canal Zone. He became a US citizen in 1986.

Blackman was born a Panamanian citizen, and became a U.S. citizen in 1986. See the second item on the page below:

What a very strange thing to complain about.

If the car was found 20 miles from where it was found, this really belongs on io9, because there must be some weird quantum physics shit at work here!

Hanging up pictures? We do that in my culture too!

For a long time I also thought it was referring to oral/anal penetration as "deviant sexual intercourse" - easy mistake to make when glancing at the statute.

It's just a different statute. I'm not sure about Kentucky, but in many states the laws are exactly the same, except rape relates to "sexual intercourse" (vaginal penetration) and sodomy relates to "deviate sexual intercourse" (oral or anal penetration).

I'm sure it would (and should) depend on the evidence. If it's a "he said, she said" case, that's very different from a case where there's significant evidence lining up against the accused (especially if there's two separate allegations from one night). We don't know which this is yet, but given the way the police

There's nothing unconstitutional about having laws against forcible sodomy that are separate from rape laws - the only part that is unconstitutional is when consensual sodomy is made illegal. It's actually quite common - it's just two different statutes, which would be why they're two distinct charges.

That's pretty standard language, many states (including NY) have the exact same language.

What in the fuck are you talking about? Are you sure you're responding to the right comment?

You're reading something into my comment that isn't there. I made no comment as to the reasonableness of MLB's drug rules and penalties, I simply stated that cocaine is not a safe drug, which it isn't.

Sorry if it came off that way, I actually agree with the point you were making - I'll redact it if it came off badly. Just was pointing out that just because LSD can be used safely during strenuous physical activity doesn't mean that cocaine can.
