This is what I was wondering. A health crisis - especially one that makes eating painful - triggering an eating disorder makes a lot of sense to me. Plus ED and substance abuse issues are often comorbid.

O’Loughlin is totally a lead character. But Caan isn’t and isn’t even always there. Kim probably draws more audience than either of them too.

Grace Park has given some awesome performances on the show, way better than anything Caan did imho but she’s nonetheless only one cop and neither the founder of her unit nor his partner. If Caan left it would still be more likely that Kim could replace him than her.

Merh I disagree. When the show started it was definitely more Caan and O’Loughlin but I think as it went on it became more of an ensemble cast.

I had the biggest crush on Kim when he was on LOST. It was like his hair grew out with those curls and the clouds parted and rays of sunshine came down.

I think you could make that argument when the show started, but they’ve become much more than supporting in recent years and I think that’s why this is an issue now and wasn’t when they started.
