Yeah yeah yeah, we get it
You hate Rick, primarily because you don't get the fact that you're viewing a show and have a perspective that he, as a character within the show, simply cannot have.

I was gonna say something about Zoom being from Earth 2, but I think Jay would've mentioned that's who Zoom was on earth 2, Hunter Zolomon, but maybe he doesn't know?

It led to the end of the world.
Literally. The Amazons went to war with Atlantis and it was tearing the world apart.

So the secret identity isn't the responsibility of the hero, but those who know the hero 9_9

Yes, but even Clark admitted when he married Lois it took the heat off her as "Superman's Girlfriend," and Wally West went public as the Flash and actually had the Hal Jordan Spectre do some sort of voodoo magic to give him his secret identity back.
We are in this bullshit conundrum because of the "Anti-SI" jack-wagons

"Secret identities are to keep your loved ones safe from your enemies. It's important that you keep them secret from the latter, not the former"

"that keeping your identity a secret doesn't inherently protect your loved ones"

Yeah, secret identities, because having your whole life an open book to villains is a BRILLIANT FUCKING IDEA.

*It would be pretty selfish of Barry to tell her to stay and be a regular cop because he wants her to be his girlfriend*

They went together like headaches and unanesthesised lobotomies.

"And now they're gonna throw all that away for more of Barry's weird incest fetish."
They. Aren't. Fucking. Related.
They aren't even of the same goddamned race.

Because a villain targeting the ones you love in order to get to you makes no fucking sense.

"and most unfortunately, the continuing tale of Barry’s deteriorating relationship with Patty."
I can't even remember her fucking name and there's actually people crying about this shit.

Fuck that goddamn POS show

"But while I won’t miss Ron or Sam (Jessie was nice enough), their deaths are nearly laughable, a clumsy, forced way to get rid of three supposedly important characters in one fell swoop."

You'd stop watching midway through the second season if they did the right thing all the time.

"Why isn't Carol leading this group?"

So your beef with Rick is that he took action where it was needed without the foresight that the Alexandira scout/recruit team might've dropped an object he might not have known they had which was found by a group they didn't definitively know existed that would've shown up while they took action which would've lead

"And it's a perfectly valid criticism, because it's entirely self-imposed
by the writing. There's no reason Nicholas couldn't have become a
survivor as well- or sacrificed himself for Glenn- or any number of
other options."

No, he's just a dude in willful denial of what is necessary to survive. He's seen more than your average Alexandrian but not as much as Rick and his team.
