@Loki100
This is another biggie. At some point, The Office stopped having "characters" and started having "caricatures" that could be flip-flopped around to service the need of the writers. Suddenly you had characters delivering jokes (and first of all, The Office almost never had "jokes" at ALL in its first three

I'm still excited about more Community. I'm honestly excited (if more than a bit nervous) about the idea of a fresh pair of eyes looking at this show and doing something new with it.

Ho. Ly. Crap.
Well now I'm just going to have to break down and watch this episode again with a box of tissues, aren't I?

Exactly. Like, if they try to kick things off with a Paintball or Law & Order episode, they're done for. They've got to build up to that sort of thing. That's what the first season did. We didn't get the chicken-tenders episode until midway through the season, and the Paintball episode was right before the finale.

That would be genius. Yeah, I think just acknowledging it in some funny, meta way would absolutely make me feel better about the situation. Assuming, of course, that the rest of the episode was good. At the same time,  I sort of fear them being all meta and Harmon-y, because I genuinely want them to try and do

I love Dan Harmon. He was a super creative guy and he gave me the best job of my career! But I'm also super thrilled about the new show-runners, as they will give this WONDERRFUL show a fresh sense of direction and allow it to reach a new, wider audience. And don't mention anything about us holding a gun to your wife

Speaking of decent usage, I was in an airplane bathroom recently…

Ooh boy. This is a bit tacky. I totally understand the practicality of it. If I was one of the cast members, I'd want some guidance on how to approach the subject in interviews, too. But the fact that it gives them verbatim responses that they can more or less memorize is just so…Manchurian Candidate. Or maybe it's

I feel like people that have grown disillusioned with 30 Rock haven't been turned off by some crazy new direction in the tone of the show—the tone has remained consistent since season 2, mostly—probably they're just bored by the fact that it hasn't changed. They're the kind of people who complain that Paul F. Tomkins

I can't do 20. But Community, Parks & Rec and 30 Rock are the top three. 30 Rock has never stopped being funny to me. Not sure why so many people have turned on it. After that, honestly, I don't really care. I do need to check out Happy Endings, though.
