Great, can someone consider doing Kim Newman’s The Man from the Diogenes Club now instead?

The show’s very premise pissed me off. At the surface I was actually excited: I would genuinely be interested in a show about the Baker Street Irregulars, a ragtag group of street urchins, petty thieves, spies, and brawlers doing the intelligence gathering and legwork for Holmes.

*The Nevers nervously tugs on its collar*

Not surprised. This show wanted to be a bunch of different things all at once, and couldn’t even pull one of them off.

Yeah, but it’s directed by Verhoeven, so it’s a lesbian period drama by way of Showgirls.

I mean, I think we can all agree what the world needs most right now is Showgirls in a convent.

I’m not buying it. I tried that on the train to work once and it did not work at all.

The trailer could have easily been an SNL skit like Lesbian Period Drama.

Can a Paul Verhoeven film ever be too horny?

As I always say, if there's one thing better than a horny nun, it's two horny nuns

If you have seen the prequels, you should be able to jump into this just fine.

I like Conan and NBC definitely did him dirty, but I still think he was an odd fit for the Tonight Show. If NBC had come out and said they were dramatically revamping the show and looking forward to Conan’s fresh take or whatever, that would have been one thing. But the impression you got was that NBC wanted someone

I know he’s not really going anywhere since he still has his podcast and a new weekly show, but this still makes me immensely sad. I’m gonna miss clicking over every night to see what’s up on Conan.

So they couldn’t include like a minute of Green Lantern because it might conflict with WB’s plans, but they let him make Darkseid a more significant part of the movie then cancelled the New Gods project because they were worried that it might be too soon for more Darkseid after the Snyder Cut... Gotta love the WB

Just checking in to mention I created this account name years ago specifically to comment on how Mike Huckabee praised Duggar as a ‘good Christian’ after he was outed as a serial pedophile. Huckabee specifically didn’t try to deny that Duggar did it, and he seemed genuinely confused to find out that some people

I despise big pharma corporations and I get my second dose next week because I'm capable of walking and chewing gum at the same time.

Buddy you are picking the worst fight at the WORST time for the WORST stakes

I’ll happily watch this even if that trailer isn’t great. He’s one of the few current comedians who absolutely thrives on making an offensive joke that just dies without crossing the line into just being a hateful asshole “truth teller.”
