There was absolutely no marketing for this. The only ads I saw pop up ads in the corner of the screen on Jeopardy and on the phone charging kiosks on Broadway. It makes me think that Chapek was trying to tank the movie.
I’ll bet Zaslav is ecstatic that Musk is pile-driving Twitter into the ground, since it will distract from what a shitty job he’s doing at WBD.
Right, Darrell Hammond’s Connery was hilarious because it captured a vibe, not because it was a sound alike imitation.
“Elmo order bride from Ukraine! Elmo has 90 days to see if it is love for real!”
His earnings call a couple weeks back touted the potential of the “90 Day Fiancé Cinematic Universe,” so yeah. Exactly this.
I really wonder if whatever tax break and short term profit WBD is getting here is worth the torrent of awful PR. Is it worth enraging all the creators and artists who are going to think twice before signing with them? Is it worth creating a bunch of pirates, who would have been happy to keep paying for your service…
Right? Predator 2 in 1990 revealed that the alien hunters had been coming to earth for hundreds of years. Why’d it take so long to use that concept? Now we need Samurai vs Predator.
Yeah, I saw the trailer during Friday Night Baseball on Apple+, and it just looked so generic. There was nothing particularly memorable about the character designs and the whole thing looked like it came from a knockoff studio that would put things like “Ice Era” on Netflix.
No wonder their coffee was so bad for so long! It’s so much better now. Before, you’d only drink it as your last resort to avoid falling asleep at the wheel.
True, remember Star Trek: Deep Space Nine/Babylon 5 back in the day?
All true, but HBO really buried this season. It was barely marketed at all. I didn’t even know it was back until Episode 3 popped up on my HBO Max page.
That’s a real shame. MODOK and Hit Monkey were both excellent shows that took a very different approach to the MCU and I wanted to see more of them.
I didn’t care much for Gunn’s The Suicide Squad movie, so I was surprised at how much I loved the Peacemaker series. If this is a show about Waller on her own, without her deep state resources, that sounds fantastic.
Yeah, I just listened to the Bonfire of the Vanities season of AMC’s The Plot Thickens podcast and Willis was a dick to work with back in 1989. But people can absolutely still feel bad about his current medical issues and feel bad about making snarky jokes about him.
Yeah, Red Notice was perfectly adequate. I had it on while I wrapped presents on Christmas Eve, and it was entertaining enough without requiring my full attention. I could not quote you a single memorable line from it 3 months later.
If Disney wanted to stop the bill, they should’ve been talking to DeSantis a month ago. To wait till after it’s signed is pointless grandstanding
The Snyder Cultists are insufferable, but at least that probably put an end to the idiot Twitter polls.
I really wanted to like this movie. I like all of the cast. I thought Nomadland was a great movie. But Eternals was just a complete mess. There are too many characters for me to care about. Zhao’s style does not translate well to the material. The script was utter nonsense even by the lax standards of superhero films.
Those ScarJo-Jost ads actively make me want to not have an Alexa. Was that the goal?
