Completely agree, and I’m not being at all snide about it. They are fun books that deliver exactly what they promise, and you can put them down and pick them up without needing to refresh your memory.

Who exactly is this movie for? The characters of Spenser and Hawk appear to have nothing at all to do with Robert Parker’s books or the 80's TV show, and will drive away fans of those series. Younger viewers won’t care about Spenser & Hawk, especially when crammed into a movie so generic it could be titled ACTION

Aside from Keaton as the inadvertently TLC quoting captain, I did not laugh once in that movie. The timing was dreadful, everything seemed either a beat early or a beat late.

So we couldn’t get more Detroiters or Big Time in Hollywood, FL but we got more of this.

I didn’t know they still made Chia Pets. I saw this online and thought it was a photoshop joke.

I haven’t seen Crystal Skull since it was in theatres, but I honestly didn’t think it was terrible. It was perfectly ok, aside from Shia LeBeef doing Tarzan yells. I loved having Marion back. I liked the opening scene. I didn’t mind the aliens. (Last Crusade made Indy literally immortal because be drank from the true

Me: I don’t know if I want to invest all my time in a new giant Star Wars book series.

I think Pete Davidson’s done some great Weekend Update bits, the best ones being where he plays Goofus to Colin Jost’s Gallant. (“People are happy when you date someone famous. Me, they want to punch on the throat.”) But aside from Chad - which got old after the third appearance - I couldn’t name a character of his.

I saw it a second time in theatres since I had an afternoon free, and I honestly liked it much more on a second viewing. I’m still not a fan of the Grandpappy Palpatine ret-retcon, but I liked the pacing and plot reveals better.

I knew the writing was on the wall when the daily prize dropped from $5k to $1k. I’ll miss it. Was such fun to play. Even more fun listening to people complain about a free game that offered you free money.

It was also a very rough night technically. In the library sketch, the camera cuts were late. RuPaul would be sitting, holding a book for a minute, while someone off screen had a line. It was rough enough that it made me wonder if the Bieber Green Screen was unused simply because they couldn’t get it to work. (I’m

Oz: The Great and Powerful, which was a flop for Disney,

I hope the very last scene of this series is Dom in his garage, tinkering on an old chassis when his now 29 year old son walks in. He sees a tarp in the back of the garage covering a pile of stuff. He moves the tarp and reveals a stack of 2 in 1 combination TV/VCRs.

In addition to acting like the Dwayne Johnson-Jason Statham spinoff didn’t happen (which is fair because it kinda sucked)

Tlaib can boo whoever she wants, but it seems like a profoundly stupid thing to alienate the supporters of a popular democrat on the eve of the first votes in this primary slog - voters Sanders will need to win the nomination. (And Hillary is popular among party Democrats ! You know, primary voters?)

Are we sure this is a real movie and not some kooky super bowl ad for Doritos or Bud Light (like the Crocodile Dundee “sequel” a couple years back)?

Overall agree. This was a pretty good episode that worked best when Driver got to play with his rep for brooding anger - like the science teacher or Del Taco guy. And kudos for him doing a monologue that didn’t rely on the cast helping him out, doing the backstage tour, or singing.

And if the leather boot-scoot choreography in the bracing “You Should Be Sad” verged on the silly, well, maybe that’s just me.”

Those first two films were revered...”
