how does Vagrant Story hold up these days? always been curious, but I'm not a JRPG guy, really. could see myself getting into Persona maybe as the art style and themes seem really amazing

Nintendo kinda flubbed the twilight execution of the Wii in some regards. a huge swath of people ignored the Wii U due to shifts in market preferences, the Wii's propensity for shovelware or half-baked motion controls, and poor messaging. (should've just called it Wii 2)

at least their shitty websites don't have broadcast coverage

could it be the complete lack of a business model?

I'm still kicking myself for forgetting to grab tickets to the High on Fire / Meshuggah double bill that came through Toronto on a tour this past year.

very expensive add-on, particularly when you factor in the court fees. not sure I'd recommend it.

overlap with narcissism and shitty tendencies, I suppose

I'm not much more than a semi casual Wii U user, but pound for pound, it's probably got the most consistently high ratio of fun to playtime games?

oh for sure. I think proselytizing for its own sake and little else actually does more of a disservice… just trying to wrap my head around why anyone would consider inviting an intellectually disingenuous hack like her in the first place, aside from having a C-list pundit stroke bigoted egos.

it's truly ridiculous how good the game is… so many major franchises completely flub the first (or even first few) transitions to 3D, and they completely nailed it.

the few FPS games I played on the Wii that used nunchuk controls with proper calibration tweaks for user preferences (kinda like being able to turn off mouse acceleration on PC) handled surprisingly well.

pretty sure they did a remake of it recently that looked fairly impressive from a visual standpoint.

man, fuck that level.

I started playing it through for the first time when it was rereleased in trilogy form on the Wii U's eShop.

regarding curved frets… I'm actually looking at building a guitar kit I got for a pretty reasonable price soon. my cursory research seems to indicate that fret leveling and erm… crowning? does actually involve some curvature of the frets itself on a bog standard guitar.

pretty certain that comment was intended to be read in a facetious tone.

wow. what a dingus.

I don't even know if humiliation as public shaming qualifies. folks like her really come across as so narcissistic that literally any form of attention gives them such a high that they just don't care.

and it's not even an interesting trick at that :/

I don't really get why conservative groups shell out exorbitant speaking fees to get someone like her to speak. at a glance, I would guess her liberal counterpart would be someone like Al Franken?
neither of these people do much other than hackily preaching to the choir, so what's the point in even hosting them? I
