I was going to post exactly this! As a blue Texan in our very blue Capitol city it is so disheartening when we continue to put such lunatics in office. It paints a terrible picture for the rest of the country that we are all so backwards when our major cities are actually very progressive and diverse.

Blue counties in Texas: Travis (Austin), Dallas, Harris (Houston, went for Obama BARELY in 2012), most of the counties along the Rio Grande River and down in the Valley (South Texas), El Paso.

The problem is turnout. In 2012, 50% of the eligible voters showed up for the presidential. As then-Mayor, now-HUD Secretary

Are you in San Antonio? Because our ballot for judges literally contains people who have been removed for judicial misconduct before. Fuck me sideways, how does one get the audacity to run despite that stain?
Someone asked why I haven't voted yet, since early voting started, and I told the truth: I honestly want to

My one sigh of relief when voting—I get to vote for Kirk Watson and he WINS

I am grumpy, because I'm from Houston and live in Austin and I hear this every five seconds. :( and "Oh you're from Houston? I'm sorry."

gerrymandering has nothing to do with statewide elections, of which there are like a dozen with ZERO dems in office. Lt Governor is one of these so your comment doesnt make a whole lot of sense here.

I'm line voting Democratic because reasons. (And I live in Texas.)

Correction, Kara, we're about to elect an ENTIRE STATE BALLOT of whackadoos. I mourn for my great state.

His wife was my second grade teacher (in like, 1990) and even back then I knew that he was a horrible person, if I couldn't quite articulate why. He is an absolute piece of shit and Texas/Texans deserves better than him and Abbott. Please vote, guys.

I try to write my name on the ceiling.

Hello. I am an English person and due to my cultural tendency to be somewhat reserved, I have never commented before. I tend to lurk... but I want to share the comment that accompanied my facebook post about this show the other day, because it was the first bit of telly since Breaking Bad that gave me shivers of

No, it's still rude. Even if it was one date. You're still stringing someone along. I will call out my friends when they complain about a paramour not, "taking the hint," and giving up. Don't play games. Be an adult.

If you've gone on only one date, no big deal. Although I don't see why it's so hard to just text someone "Sorry, I'm not feeling it!" and then block their number if they insist on trying to contact you again.

Honestly, it sucks though. One of the best Match.com experiences I ever had was with a guy I went on one date with. I really liked him and thought it went great. Sent him a text the next day letting him know that I would be up for it again, and he wrote back immediately saying he had a great time but didn't think we

But why can't someone take the time to respond to "I would like to see you again" with a form of no thank you and end the other person from waiting around and hoping to see them again? If you really think about the "fader" is being either rude or cowardly to the "fadee". Yes it's uncomfortable to respond to someone

I'm dating for the first time in a long time (recently ended a LTR) and I'm trying really hard not to do the fadeaway. I was the queen of this in college and I realize it's kind of a jerk thing to do, even for people you don't have a serious thing with... mostly because you never really know how that other person

The fade is OK for one date, but if I've had a dude's dick in my mouth, a phone call at the very least.

I think the fade-away is rude, when text messaging is so easy and acceptable (IMO). Personally, I'd enjoy dating a lot more if people would just be up front about what they're looking for. I get that a lot of people shy away from rejecting others, but I'd much prefer a "I'd rather not, but thanks" than radio silence.

I'm not saying people that do it are the devil or something, but to me it seems like common courtesy. Of course you don't owe them anything, but it's just being a decent person to be straight up with them.

She's been on late night television since Carson. I remember her on SNL in the 90s doing a Coffee Talk bit. So this is her first late night talk show appearance since the '60s.
