In chrome, you can also make a site look like an app by clicking the menu icon: More Tools-> Create a Shortcut. pretty handy.

I agree with a lot of the picks but I feel like AIMP deserve a spot as music player, it has really powerful options and tons of customization options. Also pushbullet is really great for notification mirroring, other than that really good recommendations!

I think they just closed the app launcher that used to exist, but I haven’t heard anything about closing the chrome app store
