Aren’t bigger than phone electronics needed to be pulled out to separate trays in US as it is? Haven’t flown to US for almost a decade.

I fly a lot for my job, these changes aren’t a problem at all. Food should never really be buried in bags, and in the past I used to pull my tablet from the bag until told it wasn’t necessary, to me these changes aren’t bad at all. If anything it’s very European-style, I had to pull food and electronics when leaving

Sure, that New York to LA “bullett” train is going to be a ranging success. Even at an average of 200 mph, and no stops, that’s going to be a 27 hour trip. And factor in stops, and crew changes, and it pushes 30. Even if everyone has to be strip searched, flying is still faster.

I cannot believe this right now; an absolute gentleman of the sport and a huge inspiration to myself to get in to motorcycle racing. RIP & deepest condolences to his family, fiance, and millions of friends & fans across the world.

When my wife and I were at pikes peak a few years back we ran into the Top Gear USA crew shooting there with that insane Bisimoto Odyssey Rutledge was driving. If you’re going to take a minivan up there, it may as well have a thousand horsepower.

Huh, these metallurgy labs have been used in aircraft accident investigations forever. I’m surprised ECR does this in house instead of contracting to a company like EAG.

Streetcars are not a publicity stunt. They can be effective and very easy to use mass transit that typically have higher new ridership points than buses.

Airlines are going to fight it - they don’t want hundreds of lithium ion batteries in their cargo holds, nor do they want the liability of valuable electronics in checked bags.
