they typically do shows for each of the classes. Are they not doing so this year?

it is a question of desire. 6-7 years ago I was like you. I could change the oil and replace a flat tire. Then I got a ridiculous quote for a brake job, went to the internet to look for instructions and saw it wasn't that hard. Did it myself in an afternoon. Felt great, saved $800 and learned something. I've gone on

It was all about the baby fire suit. 18 years down the road when JR is trying to qualify for his first 500 he will have to answer for not drinking the milk in victory circle.

My guess is that is a Oreca Nissan under the cover and is just there as a place holder.

Sir Jack giving it the beans with a dab of oppo. I was lucky enough to see him at Goodwood several years ago. Still had that grin. Also, if you want to talk with one of the coolest dudes in Motorsport, go find his son David.

Wonder if PPG might have an upgraded window out there and they are replacing them on an attrition basis. Pretty common for a component that has a reasonable failure mode. there are no airwrthiness directives for the windows.

Aerodynamic sealing of the windows is a difficult issue. As mentioned, erosion is an issue. Beyond that, when you replace a wind typically you are looking at a 24 hour cure at nominal conditions. Longer if the humidity is high.

I'd go with something like this.

That is a flap fairing. It doesn't carry loads and is just there as an aerodynamic efficiency improvement. That big beefy structure you see that looks like a beam is the flap track. That is important. Not that you ever want parts falling off, but that part isn't that critical.

I think you would do ok with the '65 car.

"Peddle your own trike" Ms. Mathewson - High school teacher.

if you look at the bottom right corner of the video you can see people standing right by the fence. That spot is deigned for the 500 when the cars are going the other way. Pretty safe that way.

What does Vader want with a 727 in the first picture? Is he interested in cracks in the Force?

Actually, it is about the oil rich who could give two shakes (sheiks?) what people think about their spending. It's chump change for them and profits for the government funded airline.

You are pretty close. UPS has quite the engineering department so they would have likely done much of the repair design and coordinated with Boeing or their own DER for approvals. Time frame is a bit longer than 1-2 days for a truck sized hole. Maybe a week to make stringers and frames since you have to source

Wow. Lyle did the 360s at the NMUSAF? Those are amazing.

Go Hotdog, go!

Unsinkable! As social as it got back in the day.

On planes when we hit turbulence and someone mentions the wings flapping I tell them you only have to worry when they stop bouncing up and down!

That's so great! My wife and I did the same thing a few years ago. I will see if I can find some of the recipes. It is a great way to try some new foods and to have some fun.
