It's part of the territory with Souls games, and in my experience the worse the model looks, the better the game actually is, so I'm perfectly happy with this. :)

Just no. Completely wrong assumptions.

The game doesn't cheat you ever. Think of the encounters and environments as math equations, and dying is getting the solution incorrect. You have to look at everything involved and figure out what he actual answers are and until then, you won't win.

Because the difficulty in these games is part of the storytelling. The player is supposed to feel powerless and careful. That's all part of the horror and tension The developers wanted to capture. They could release a much easier version but that would be like watching a colored film in black and white or a novel with

Ok, look... in the Souls series, darkness permeates every aspect of the experience. The world(s) you play in feel dead/dying, the theme of brutal desperation thrives throughout all parts of the series, and you really do feel it in every nook and cranny of the games. From your very first encounters, the Souls games

why not just play the game? I have not played a souls game but yet I decided to try this. I'm getting my ass handed to me but I keep on going because it feels great when you progress. I can't remember the last time I put my hands up in the air after beating a boss.

I honestly can't wait for this trend to die out.

if by trend you mean 'this is what games used to be about' the. Yes it's a trend...and I hope it never goes away.

Because he's trollin'. Look at his other comments on this article.

There absolutely is story in these games (Souls games anyway, haven't played Bloodborne yet obvs) and it's told in the best way a game has ever told a story. It uses the medium so damn well I ignore the fact that it's the sort of fantasy hokum I ususually dislike. It is told through the playing, and the environmental

This series isn't meant for everybody, if you feel alienated...that simply means it isn't for you.

he just literally described himself as someone who would like the game, why would you say no?

What's the point of watching a playthrough of this type of game? It's not a story-driven game like The Order where you can watch a 'movie' cut and be done with it. You are only spoiling the boss tactics and the level layouts, so why? You may play it yourself at some point.

I would actually argue that swearing in contemporary usage is for the opposite of gravitas. Swearing is almost always done light-heartedly or absent-mindedly these days, as just a part of normal conversation. Or, as general exclamations, what is more efficient than a "Shit/damn/fuck!" to convey surprise, annoyance,

No idea man, a Bollywood one for sure though!

Who the fuck gives a shit?

Yes. Yes. Yes.

People overrate the difficulty of these games. Some spots can be pretty hard, but most of these games revolve around putting tension on you. And unless you plan on re-playing it on game+ I wouldn't shy away from it's difficulty. Games like Donkey Kong Country where waaaaay harder than the Soul games.

Well that's the thong about these souls games, the game never actually is cheating you, but you die ALOT, its one of the few games that forces you to learn from your mistakes rather than brute forcing it. With that said, I gave up too much aggravation, but if your the go getter never quits type I say give it a try

...why not just leave out the twitch embed....thats something you can do lol
