Nah, not exactly. I know a lot of gamers that picked that up thinking it was going to be the next huge revolution in gaming. To have that kind of outlook, one has to be either really young, or really gullible.

You should have just grabbed the Grenade Launcher over and over again. Nothing stops grenades being lobbed around corners. The best level for that thing was the Egyptian Temple map, by far.

To be fair, when it comes to character designs, there’s hardly anything new under the sun. Everything is a riff on something that already exists. Including most of the Overwatch cast.

The thing that killed DC was SEGA Sports. Or more so the studios failure to market anything but their sports games.

I just replayed SOA for the second time on Dolphin 5.0. It’s as good as I remember it being the first time. And this time I finally found 100% of the discoveries.

I worked at SEGA during that era. Some of my favorite games of all time came out on that console. I have a lot of fond memories of that time in my life.

Like The LaughinKipper said, a lot of your complaints are only problems early in the game and the game is very obtuse about a lot of mechanics. Such as having the ability to glide along horizontally in your jetpack. Once you get that trick down and upgrade that thing, you can find yourself gliding all over a planets…

I felt like the three weeks I spent in No Man’s Sky, justified the $60 price tag. I had plenty of fun simply exploring planets.
