It's more than the fact it's a Lion. The other figure reminds me of his petrified father. Like a fan fiction version of his story. His fathers petrified body is reanimated by some evil sorcerer, or whatever. All that's missing is some rule 34 action. :P

Reminds me of Cosmo Canyon & Red XIII

Hahahaha! This is kind of awesome, and why hasn't anyone else tried it before? Seems like a pretty fool proof plan. Unless your harasser has mommy issues. Then it might backfire.

And Kurosawa adapted Dashiell Hammett's "Red Harvest" into Yojimbo. Which was later adapted into A Fistfull of Dollars by Leone, and even later by Walter Hill in the Bruce Willis vehicle, Last Man Standing. There's nothing new under the sun, as the saying goes.

To be fair, name dropping Akira Kurosawa when discussing film, is always appropriate.

Probably a little lttp with this, but does anyone know if you can change makeup settings post-character creation? I kind of like my Elf Rogue Archer not looking like a cheap lady of the night. That makeup is way less bright in the character creator. lol.

Reminds me a lot of my NECA TMNT figures based on the original Indie / Mirage releases. As you can see, they have all the little crosshatching, and comic inking textures. And best of all, they all have red bandanas.

There are like dozens upon dozens of NES and Arcade emulators. You can get your Marble Madness fix pretty easily these days. And if you dig that game check out the incredibly difficult "Snake Rattle n' Roll". Which was in many ways a spiritual successor to MM.

This isn't some "new" thing. Games have been getting "GOTY" editions for a long, long time.

That's so weird, albeit, I haven't actually seen an episode in 20 odd years though lol. So maybe I just remember it being more violent than it was?

Wait in the original Fox/Early 90's Animated Series he straight up committed genocide on a number of occasions. So did Poison Ivy, Scarecrow and a number of other villains. BTAS was not "that" kid-friendly. Which is why I loved it to death as a kid

You sound like you haven't been playing the series for too long. Each game (including the console ports) varied wildly in design, setting, etc.

As has been mentioned, only 3 & 4 are remotely similar. And even then switching locales to a mountainous landlocked location is a big enough difference to grab my $. And who

Patched in release 2.0 :P

That's pretty much how I have played the previous 3 Far Cry games, and their console relatives. Silenced M5 in single shot mode, was always my go to mid/close-range weapon in the first two games. Though I do love the new Bows! That's always fun.

That's excellent news to me! FarCry (2004 PC) is in my top 5 FPS list of all time, and one of those reasons, is because of it's recon system, and stealth combat. Glad to hear the Binoculars factor into the gameplay again!

The historical Templar Order, and the fictional one as seen in the AC mythos, were very, very different groups.

If I recall correctly, IV let you turn off HUD elements yes? I hope you can do that again here. These games are much more fun when you have to actually look for your targets.

Thanks for the tips!

This was an excellent article. Well written, and makes very valid points for Monetization. As a QA lifer, perhaps the biggest sin here for me is that these ancillary features weren't even working at launch. That's just ridiculous!

I love how you can walk up and have a pleasant conversation with most NPC's, but if you talk to them for longer than 20 seconds, they get progressively more and more annoyed, or aggressive.

I can honestly say I have never had a person call the cops on me for asking them how they were doing, in real life. lol
