I got to check out some of the story via my coworkers Art Book. It looks like the story was excellent, from what I coild glean. Very Dirty Dozen vibe.

Yeah, dude. VC has a big US fanbase, because a ton of people played it years after its criminally console exclusive release. Dont discredit it.

Yeah man you will love the shit out of this game. Congratulations you get to play one of the best games ever made. :)

That's awesome and all... BUT WTF SEGA!!??? Where is our North American port of VC 3 already?????!!!!!!! I'll even take it on PSP, cuz then I can play it on my PSTV.

I always loved that you could launch that Heavy (slow) Torpedo, and actually run into it, blowing yourself to pieces if you launched it while flying too fast!

Man these games were gold.

At what point does a review turn into an Essay? My guess is Paragraph 12?

When Sunset Overdrive does ease off its zingers and allows you to relax and enjoy yourself undisturbed, it can actually be a really good game. A great one, even. But it makes you climb over a giant heaping pile of bullshit just to get to that point.

Yeah, and apparently your reading comprehension needs serious work.

That's an extremely good point!!! I hope Kotaku and their staff read and share your comment. That really should be spread around.

As much as I loathe actual real life violence, I kind of have to agree with this. Not saying I wish that fate on ANYONE, but if it were to happen, I have to agree that others might not be so quick to launch into attack mode.

I keep quiet for a number of reasons, but it's primarily out of fear. Fear of uttering an opinion only to be sea lioned into circular debates that feel engineered more to exhaust than to enlighten. Fear that the fact that I briefly backed Zoe Quinn's Patreon for a total of $10 might be used an excuse to make me into

Dude... that patty doesn't even look completely cooked! Just say NOPE!!!

Thanks. I thought it was an underwater environment for a moment.

I haven't played this at all. Which planet is this?

I never really play games in the dark. I'll just pass out. And I am generally over Horror games at this point. More into using gaming to relax than to get tense and stressed. I love the genre, and the aesthetics, and everything about them, but they just aren't that fun to play after work, or before bed. Now Stealth

It's the same all over my friend. And it really is sad. Fortunately here in the Bay Area we have a few bastions. My hometown of Alameda has an Arcade museum where people can go and play games. And in Oakland there's a new Adult Arcade style place that used to be a bowling alley.

Fair enough. I agree with everything else the OP said btw... that's exactly what Borderlands and I have our relationship status set to... "It's complicated".

Jesus, chill out. I literally was joking. My point was that in order to get higher level gear you have to go into vh mode. Theres no reason to hang out in the main campaign for that long.

I don't think you understand how Borderlands works. It's almost impossible not to beat the game after 100 hours, and that's a stretch. I did not race through my first playthrough either. Playing casually, and doing most side mission, I beat the original campaign mode in about 30 hours. BTW - I figured the winky/smiley

By haven't beat, do you mean, you haven't completed Vault Hunter Mode ++++ with every character? because the basic campaign does not usually take 300 hours to complete. ;)
