Maybe it was just me, but wasn’t the first one generally hyped as one of the best games of the year? Hell, even some of my non-gamer friends had heard about it.

Let me tell you about a story where people didn’t upgrade from IE 6 for many years because they felt comfortable with it. It held the internet back. While IE 7 and IE 8 came out with new and improved features, web developers had to not implement those features because a large userbase was still using IE6.

We had the same issues when smartphones first came out. Can you imagine if everyone followed your advice for smartphones? The market wouldn’t have taken off and we’d still be using dumbphones.
