There must be some weird contractual thing over the name, right?

Creative differences.
Lynch gets on my nerves mostly via taking pleasure in inscrutability. I really hate his famous quote “I don’t know why people expect art to make sense. They accept the fact that life doesn’t make sense.” Yeah, David, that’s why we COME to art. We’re trying to build meanings for ourselves. I come at art from a…
That’s only part of the conversation, though. I 100% agree that you do have to have *some* measure of ability. It’s the access to training, education, industry contacts, and ultimately the cushion to fall back on if things don’t work out that gets in some people’s craw. It’s all privilege.
Ummm, I would bet this is exactly how Kristen Stewart had the door open for her?... Like I doubt her mom was a script supervisor for one single movie her entire career, no matter how you cherry pick what you consider is a bad movie she worked on.
I absolutely love Justified, but I have yet to see one of these revivals/reboots/re-whatevers that approached the quality of the original run. Very much hope this one is the exception.
“That all sounds well and good, but the lack of the names Boyd Crowder and Walton Goggins is very concerning”
I mean, it’s well-trod ground by now. This was a real misstep.
A lot of white men got released from prison early during the Trump years, it wouldn’t be too tough to figure out.
Never ask an actor why their parents’ names are blue on Wikipedia.
No. But thank you for sharing your opinion.
Ultimately the line between nepotism and privilege becomes indistiguishable at a point. If it’s not related to you the author in what you do then I think that’s fine. But all nepotism is by definition: the practice among those with power or influence of favoring relatives, friends, or associates, especially by giving…
Boyd is in prison at the end of Justified, presumably for a long time, so it would be tricky to include him in a new series
He didn’t leave money to his kids. But he left around $20 million to their mother. So maybe not the best example.
Regardless if they’re famous or not, nepo babies still end up with an excellent start in life long before they’re born. Philip Seymour Hoffman didn't leave his kids any money, and one of them is an actor.
everyone can get their feet jokes locked and loaded now
Unfortunately for all of us, Avatar 2 is fairly well received and it's going to make a bunch of money.
“You must remember this” is such a good podcast.
Eh I will stick with the “you must remember this” podcast for my lurid old Hollywood gossip. This film sounds exhausting but it does make me want to finally watch whiplash. I LOLd at the mention of an avatar reference. I still don’t understand why Disney made a second one and felt it would be well received.
I’m sorry, but did you just hate fuck a film?
